Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Terms entered into a sponsored search box are sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Clay County Court Docket does not use those queries to create a local court-record database. Review the provider's privacy terms before submitting a name or other detail.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If a visitor sends a message through an available contact channel, we may receive the supplied address, message text, and other information included voluntarily. Do not send Social Security numbers, birth dates, financial account data, sealed case material, or other sensitive identifiers.
Data We Gather Automatically
Routine server and analytics records may capture an internet address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed, general location derived from network data, and visit time. This technical information helps operate the resource, measure use, detect abuse, and diagnose errors. It is not gathered to build a case history about a person.
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies or similar technologies may remember settings, measure traffic, or support advertising and partner tools. Browser controls can block or delete cookies, though doing so may affect some features. Third-party providers may set their own cookies under their policies.
What We Do With This Data
Information may be used to run and secure the service, understand general traffic, improve clarity, respond to a direct message, comply with law, and prevent misuse. We do not use visitor data to decide a person's eligibility for credit, work, housing, or insurance. We do not sell a visitor's message as a court record.
No Court-Record Data on File
Clay County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of Clay County case records. The resource explains where public dockets may be found and how to contact Melissa Stellner, Clerk of the District Court, who maintains the official district-court file. Kansas CaseSearch, the rolling county docket, courthouse terminal, and clerk records have different scopes.
Public access to Kansas court information is governed by sources that include the Kansas Open Records Act and Kansas Supreme Court Rules 21, 22, and 106B. Those authorities do not turn this private resource into a record custodian or consumer reporting agency.
Third-Party Search Partners
Some pages display search services operated by outside providers. A provider may receive a query, device information, payment details, or account data under its own policy. We do not control its retention rules, prices, search coverage, or results. A referral may generate compensation that supports this resource.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Kansas courts, Clay County offices, municipal sources, federal systems, or other services. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination's privacy terms apply. A link is provided for access and context, not as a promise about another site's security or data practices.
Who Might See Your Data
Information may be available to hosting, analytics, security, or other vendors that help operate the service. It may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to obey valid legal process, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse, or complete a business transfer. We do not disclose visitor information to the Clay County court merely because someone reads a docket page.
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to reduce unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure, so absolute protection cannot be promised. Avoid submitting sensitive court or identity data that is not needed.
Users Under 18
This resource is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly seek personal data from a child under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor supplied information may use the contact route described on the site.
Your Data Rights
Depending on applicable law, a visitor may ask to access, correct, or delete information supplied directly, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent where consent controls. Browser settings can also manage cookies. These choices concern visitor data held by this private resource, not a Clay County court record.
The Kansas Open Records Act request framework applies to public agencies and records within its scope. Kansas Supreme Court Rule 21, Rule 22, and Rule 106B address Kansas court-record access. Requests for an official case file belong with the Clerk of the District Court, not through a privacy request to this resource.
